Inspection Technician Position Responsibilities Inspect tractors and trailers to identify required repairs and maintenance needs, ensuring all components are thoroughly evaluated. Accurately document inspection findings and enter detailed information into company computer systems; communicate repair needs to the shop or service providers as necessary. Adhere to the company tire program for all tractors and trailers. Identify maintenance and repair opportunities on equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance. Follow all applicable TIA rules, safety standards, and company protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of drivers. Resolve issues efficiently to support drivers and customers while delivering exceptional customer service. Consistently follow established procedures, policies, and operational guidelines. Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide constructive feedback to leadership. Promote and share best practices across the team to improve operational efficiency. Maintain a professional work environment and consistently demonstrate professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications & Skills Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and produce results with minimal supervision. Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism, including strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information to identify issues and make sound decisions. Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures, guidelines, and safety requirements. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established safety policies and procedures. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stoop, bend, and crawl underneath equipment as required to complete inspections. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license required. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office, Windows, and related programs. Minimum of one year of consistent employment and/or educational experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. TIA certifications are preferred but not required.
