As a Ship Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of (complex) mechanical assembly and maintenance activities. You will work on main and auxiliary systems on board mega yachts, newbuild vessels, and repair projects, following technical instructions and collaborating with specialists when needed. Key accountabilities Your responsibilities include: Dismantling, assembling, repairing, and overhauling pumps, winches, propeller shafts, and rudders; Disassembling hydraulic cylinders and steering gear systems, and aligning equipment such as pumps, engines, and gearboxes together with specialists; Reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions; Transporting components in and out of vessels; Fabricating and installing foundations; Performing work related to pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
