Graduate Degree (PhD, PhD abd ) in an area of Italian studies with a record of sustained successful teaching language courses in Italian at University level. Native or near native fluency in English and Italian.
Teaching documentation: evidence of competence in second-year language courses in Italian at the University level; official student and peer evaluations; teaching dossier; references. Ability to work alone without immediate direct supervision. Ability to work within a team; clear comprehension of multi-section teaching; active participation in curriculum development; sharing of responsibilities in careful test preparation; student assessment; prompt and accurate marking including on-line activities. Experience coordinating multi-section languages courses.
Competence in the use of email, Brightspace, internet, common office software ( e.g. Word, Excel) and multi-media equipment.
Commitment to responsible time management. Commitment to meeting the requirements and administrative responsibilities associated with the coordination of courses. Availability for individual consultation with students and Section Coordinator and proctoring tests and exams.
