Quality Team Lead

About the role

The Quality Department Team Lead plays a key role in ensuring daily operational excellence within the Quality Department of our window manufacturing facility. This role supports the Supervisor/Manager by training, coaching, and developing employees; monitoring quality processes; ensuring compliance with company standards; and maintaining accuracy and safety throughout the department. The Quality Team Lead helps direct the workflow of materials and team activities to optimize productivity, quality, and safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Westlake Safety Policies. Exhibit consistent attendance, punctuality, and scheduling flexibility. Promote and support a zero-injury safety culture. Provide leadership and direction to Quality team members. Ensure employees follow all policies and procedures related to quality and inventory handling. Direct and support employees as needed to meet departmental objectives. Oversee daily quality control and department operations. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Effective teamwork and communication skills. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Computer and software experience. Previous quality experience in warehousing or manufacturing preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Exposure to temperature extremes and high noise levels. Ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours), perform repetitive movements, bend, twist, and use hand tools. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and navigate stairs.
