Position Overview UHS is seeking a full-time day shift Lead Sterile Processing Technician to support the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department while working alongside staff. This role provides hands-on leadership across decontamination, instrument preparation, and sterilization, helping ensure surgical teams have the equipment they need when they need it. The lead works closely with Supply Chain and Surgical Services leadership to keep workflows running smoothly and maintain quality and compliance standards. This position also serves as a key point of communication with the Operating Room, helping to anticipate surgical needs, address any delays, and keep teams aligned. In addition to guiding technicians and supporting day-to-day processes, the role includes managing supplies and ensuring the department stays organized and efficient in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Sterile Processing, UHS Wilson Medical Center Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $19.37 - $28.09 per hour, depending on experience ----- Essential Functions: Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Collaborate with Manager Supply Chain to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained on a day to day basis. Collaborate with Service Line Manager, Surgical Services to ensure proper workflow to maintain standard of care. Review Schedule with O.R. Supervisor to evaluate needs for upcoming surgeries. Provides Guidance of SPD Technicians on Day to Day processes while performing normal tasks in Decontamination, Prep and Packaging, and Sterilization. Communicate any potential or actual interruptions or delays in service with the O.R. Staff. Ordering items for SPD Non-Essential Functions: Duties the employee may perform that are not essential as defined in the job description. Will perform other duties as assigned. Education/Experience: Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED and 24 months as Certified SPD Technician Preferred: 3 Years Sterile Processing Experience. 18 months as certified CRST.
