Your Key Responsibilities: Engineering Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage distributed engineering teams across European hubs (including Norway, Finland, and Romania), overseeing performance and professional growth. Field to Cloud Execution: Drive the execution and foundational development of Field to Cloud initiatives, to achieve a seamless hardware/software ecosystem. Roadmap & Strategy: Translate overarching platform goals into actionable, localized engineering roadmaps for the EU teams by aligning roadmaps across sectors and collaborating tightly with global technology teams. Driving AI Native Engineering: Champion the integration of artificial intelligence into core engineering practices. Evangelize AI-driven development tools, optimize workflows utilizing machine learning, and foster an innovative culture that builds intelligence natively into platform capabilities. Platform Delivery: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions and architecture. Decision Making & Governance: Drive decisions across technical, process, and people dimensions while establishing clear governance mechanisms and maintaining transparency through effective stakeholder communication and operational reporting. Process Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and practices using Agile methodologies, managing team resources, scopes, and timelines effectively. Your Essential Skills & Experience: Leadership Experience: Significant experience in software engineering management, with a proven track record of leading, growing, and building distributed or multi-national engineering teams. Cloud Architecture: Solid understanding of full-stack development and scalable cloud-based architectures and technologies. AI Native Engineering Focus: Experience or strong strategic vision for leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools, automation, intelligent agents, and AI-native practices across the software engineering lifecycle. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Communication & Methodologies: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively present technical plans and manage risk with senior stakeholders. Expert-level experience navigating Agile development methodologies. Bonus Points For: Domain Expertise: Strong engineering background in Horizontal and Vertical Construction, BIM (Building Information Modeling), or Infrastructure software domains. Deep familiarity with modern model workflows and Common Data Environment (CDE) integrations is highly preferred. Experience managing distributed development teams specifically in Norway, Finland, or Romania. Location: Munich, Germany - On-site Travel Requirement: Regular travel to global locations initially, transitioning to occasional travel.
