About the role
Incumbent of this position serves as a Program Support Specialist, performing a combination of routine, multiple and varying assignments as he/she provides program support to the Labor and Employee Relations (AHL) Organization. The position reports directly to the Service Area Director (SAD) but also supports the assigned organizational unit manager and staff by monitoring LER work activities. To qualify for this position at the FV-G, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F, (FG/GS-5-9) level. Specialized experience must demonstrate: Knowledge of federal administrative regulations and program principles (e.g., conduct & discipline and grievance process) to support Labor and Employee Relations (LER) Specialists in the preparation and presentation of complex cases. Ability to conduct technical research and data analysis to draft memoranda, research reports, and contract articles related to labor/management negotiations and collective bargaining agreements. Manage comprehensive case files, dockets, and automated tracking systems, ensuring all statutory deadlines were met, and relevant personnel were alerted to emerging issues. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all milestones and organizational goals were met within established timeframes. Demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills to influence and persuade managers to implement findings, navigate situations, or resistance from customers with differing authorities.
