About the role

The Nursing Services Supervisor - Residential is a licensed professional nurse responsible for the oversight and leadership of nursing services within the residential program. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient/resident-centered care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Code in the state of employment, professional nursing standards, and organizational policies and procedures. The Nursing Services Supervisor functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for staff leadership, clinical quality oversight, shift operations, and medication management. This position supports treatment planning, crisis intervention, regulatory compliance, and the professional development of nursing personnel, serving as a key resource and leader for frontline nursing staff in alignment with the organization's mission, values, and service commitments. This role operates as a key leader within the residential programs, contributing to overall program operations and team support during assigned shifts. While grounded in nursing leadership, the Nursing Services Supervisor partners across disciplines to support the safety, flow, and effectiveness of the residential environment, stepping in as needed to ensure continuity of care and team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily nursing operations for the residential program(s), ensuring effective and efficient delivery of patient/resident care across all shifts.
  • Provide leadership support to the residential program/house during assigned shifts, including stepping into house-level operational oversight as needed to support safety, staffing coordination, and overall program operations
  • Collaborate with Residential Supervisors to support staffing coordination, including Residential Medication Technician scheduling needs, to ensure safe and effective coverage across programs.
  • Serve as the nursing leadership resource during assigned shifts, providing real-time clinical guidance and decision support to nursing staff.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team and ancillary departments.
  • Manage program workflow related to nursing/medication management needs, prioritizing patient/resident care activities based on clinical acuity and operational needs.
  • Facilitate effective communication at shift handoff, ensuring accurate and thorough reporting of patient/resident status, safety concerns, and outstanding care needs.
  • Support float coverage across residential programs as indicated.
  • Conduct and oversee comprehensive nursing assessments as needed
  • Contribute to discharge planning needs
  • Engage family and support systems in the assessment, care planning, and education process as clinically appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team as needed.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing clinical nursing expertise to treatment planning and discharge planning discussions.
  • Review and act upon laboratory and diagnostic data in collaboration with providers; communicate clinically significant findings promptly.
  • Identify and escalate changes in patient condition to the appropriate provider in a timely manner.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and provide clinical/operational support as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team effectiveness and care quality.
  • Staff Supervision & Development
  • Provide direct supervision to Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Residential Medication Technicians within the residential program(s), while proactively addressing staff performance concerns in a timely, constructive manner and escalating to leadership as appropriate.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately based on staff scope of practice, competency, and patient/resident care requirements.
  • Conduct real-time coaching, performance feedback, and competency observation to support staff development and clinical excellence.

We are growing our nursing leadership team within our Residential level of care in Oconomowoc on AM and PM shift. Please review the schedules below and if interested, please apply! All applications are reviewed and considered. Monday - Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm OR Monday-Friday primarily 8:00am-4:30pm (1 shift per week will be 12pm-8:30pm depending on unit need) *On call weekend coverage every 4-6 weeks + incorporation into the holiday rotation **New Employee Retention Bonus** Up to *$15,000.00 retention bonus available!
