Job Summary As Head of Engineering and Business Analysis , you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a department within Technology , with a department representing a group of sections working towards a common objective or goals . Head of Engineering and Business analysis p lays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective delivery of Technology services and solutions. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, as well as the ability to align Tech nology efforts with business goals. Specialization: Engineering - You will be responsible for building a sound IT strategic framework that provides a holistic view of PLUK's IT assets as well as the portfolio of technology programs and initiatives that are aligned with business strategy. This includes monitoring mechanisms to track financial and well as non-financial performance metrics for each strategic KPIs. Business Analysis - The responsibilities include defining the scope of testing, designing test plans and strategies, and ensuring that all testing objectives are met. The role demands proficiency in various testing methodologies, including automation and performance testing, as well as a strong understanding of software development life cycles Job Accountabilities Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they are supported with the necessary skills and knowledge to become productive. Strategic Planning and execution: Develop and implement IT Tribe's strategic plans, aligning it with the organization's overall tech and business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify priorities, initiatives and goals. Ensure that the tribe's efforts contribute towards the achievement of business goals Resource allocation and Management: Manage and allocate resources: budget, personnel and tools. Ensure successful execution of projects and initiatives with the tribe. Optimize resource utilization, balancing workload and priorities across the teams, ensuing efficient delivery of Tech products, services and projects Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders such as Product owners and business leads to understand their needs, gather requirements, and communicate the Tribe's objectives and progress. Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor on tech matters, ensuring that Tech products and services align with business goals Delivery & Quality Assurance: Oversee the delivery of IT Tribe products and services, solutions, and projects within the tribe. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of IT Tribe deliverables. Implement quality assurance processes and standards to maintain a high level of service excellence Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within IT Tribe. Identity opportunities for process optimization, automation and innovation. Encourage adoption of best practices, agile methodologies and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction Collaboration and Communication: Promote collaboration and effective communication with IT tribes, as well as with other tribes outside of tech. Facilitate cross-functional cooperation, knowledge sharing and problem-solving. Ensure that information flows smoothly between teams and stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment Job Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree, preferably Major in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Management. Extensive knowledge/experience on SDLC processes Proven experience in a leadership role within IT industry, managing teams and delivering IT projects or services Strong understanding of IT principles, technologies, and trends, with a focus on areas relevant to the tribe's domain Excellent leadership and people management skills, with ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their potential Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with the ability to align IT efforts with business objectives Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex IT concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
