Specific expertise in ISO 15189 for Clinical Sequencing Lab.
Strong academic background.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and writing skills in both English and French.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including academic, governmental, and industrial partners.
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and synthesize scientific information.
Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
Education/Experience:
Master's degree (or equivalent) in related discipline.
Experience conducting research in an academic, applied, or interdisciplinary context.
This position is covered by the Association of McGill University Research Employees (AMURE) collective agreement.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Research Supervisor:
Assists with the design, implementation, and monitoring of the quality management system of the laboratory program.
Provides support through standardization and streamlining of processes, improved support mechanisms and activities in accordance with applicable regulations and legislation including Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) Standards, Laboratory Licensing, Mandatory and Voluntary Laboratory Accreditations, such as ISO 15189.
Works collaboratively with the Laboratory Manager and appropriate personnel to ensure effective quality management the laboratory via the following activities/programs:
- Document management system.
- Internal audit program
- External assessments (e.g., CAP, IQMH)
- Incident management.
- Risk management.
- Development and compilation of key performance indicators(KPIs).
- Quality improvement projects (various) (i.e., process mapping, policy/procedure development).
- Learning and Development (educational opportunities).
- Competency assessment.
- Safety program.
