On-Call Overnight Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in New York State is required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Overnight Licensed Veterinary Tech - On Call Salary: $40- $44 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. On-Call Schedule: Flexible weekday options, with shifts available either Monday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Friday. Overnight coverage offers similar flexibility, with on-call shifts available Monday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Friday (or Monday-Friday if preferred). If called in, overnight shifts run from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. You will only be contacted if coverage is needed, and a $50 on-call stipend will be provided for nights when you are not called in. Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hudson Square is seeking an On-Call Overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.
