The Process Development Engineer serves as the primary product expert for Final Test, supporting ATCB's key objectives in Quality, Output, and Cost. This role ensures that products delivered to customers meet all specifications and performance requirements. The position plays a critical role in driving yield improvement, resolving quality issues, and enhancing overall test and product performance.
Responsibilities
Act as the technical engineering resource for ATCB Test Product Engineering.
Analyze final test performance (e.g., yield, OCAPs) to identify defect trends and potential quality issues, and drive improvements in fab and assembly processes.
Escalate critical or recurring fab-related issues to BG that significantly impact test hold lots and yield performance.
Escalate identified special cases or increasing trends of assembly-related defects to MEEQ/Process Engineering.
Drive process optimization and overall yield improvement for assigned package platforms.
Serve as a key reviewer and approver for new packages, materials, processes, and lifecycle changes.
Implement statistical methods at test (e.g., PAT, SYL, SBL) to detect maverick lots.
Drive reduction of test hold lots and improvement of Test Processing Time (TPT).
Provide lot disposition or align with BG Product Engineering on test-detected fab and parametric issues.
Continuously enhance Product Risk Assessment and Escalation tools.
Represent Product Engineering in product qualification, change qualification, and cross-functional projects across fab, assembly, and test processes.
Support change management through data analysis of evaluation, qualification, and safe launch lots to ensure no compromise in electrical performance.
