Art Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans and art programs aligned with the Studio standards to engage children across various age groups
• Teach fine art techniques including sketching, painting, and sculpture in a creative and interactive manner to support students' artistic growth
• Demonstrate and coach students on applying elements of design and modern art principles tailored to their abilities
• Communicate clearly and effectively with parents, students, and fellow teachers to build strong relationships and support student development
• Create a positive and conducive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity
• Plan and coordinate adhoc studio programs and events to enrich the student experience
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing timely feedback to guide improvement
• Maintain studio cleanliness and uphold housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and welcoming space
• Required competencies and certifications
• Diploma or Degree in Fine Arts, Design, or related fields
• 1-3 years of experience teaching fine art to children in studio, preschool, or equivalent settings
• Proficient knowledge of painting and drawing techniques
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and patiently with children and parents
• Demonstrated independence, resourcefulness, and self-motivation with initiative
• Proven track record supported by a portfolio of work
• Availability to work weekends
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Enjoys working with children aged 3 to 17
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders

• Working Hours
• Wednesday to Friday: 11:00 AM to 8:45 PM
• Saturday: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
