Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience of curriculum leadership or departmental coordination within Further Education or a similar setting.
  • A strong understanding of quality assurance processes and curriculum improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge of GCSE and Functional Skills delivery and current educational priorities within FE.
  • A passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for all learners.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students in a fast-paced educational environment.

In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of Faculty in leading and developing English, Maths and ESOL provision across the campus. You will champion high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, support curriculum innovation, and help create an inclusive and aspirational culture where both staff and students thrive. Working collaboratively with curriculum teams, support services, and external stakeholders, you will ensure our provision remains responsive, engaging, and aligned to student and employer needs. To support your leadership responsibilities, this role includes up to 50% remission from teaching duties, providing dedicated time to focus on curriculum development, staff support, quality improvement, and strategic priorities across the faculty.
