Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join our Facilities and Services team, supporting the Faculty of Business and Economics and Faculty of Law. Facilities Coordinators play an important role in ensuring University spaces remain safe, functional, and welcoming environments for learning, teaching, research, and work. This is a varied role within a collaborative, high-performing team, with a strong focus on financial coordination and access management across two busy faculties. You will coordinate key financial processes, including purchasing, approvals, budget administration, and capital expenditure, while also managing access control for staff and students. Alongside these core responsibilities, you will support the day-to-day operation of faculty facilities, working closely with colleagues across both faculties and central service teams such as Security and Campus Environment. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating financial processes, including purchase orders, P-card transactions, approvals, budget monitoring, and capital expenditure administration. Managing access control processes for staff and students, working closely with Security and other key stakeholders. Supporting the day-to-day coordination of facilities operations across teaching, office, and shared spaces. Liaising with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and minor works. Contributing to a collaborative team environment and delivering high-quality, customer-focused service. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. The remuneration range is $60,000 - $71,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description . He kōrero mōu | About you You are an organised and proactive coordinator with strong financial administration skills and a customer-focused approach. Comfortable managing competing priorities, you enjoy working collaboratively and building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will bring: Experience in a coordination, administration, or support role with a strong financial component. Proven experience managing purchasing processes, approvals, budgets, and financial administration. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Confidence using business systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ideally, you'll also have: Experience in facilities, operations, property, or a similar environment. Familiarity with access control processes or working with security teams. Experience working within a large or complex organisation.
