Job Description
As a Technical Operations Specialist within Online Services - Live Services, you are the operational owner of service configuration, campaign quality, and live readiness across the Live Services portfolio. You act as the primary interface between development teams, operational teams, and business stakeholders with the explicit mandate to reduce unplanned developer intervention by independently managing, validating, and troubleshooting live operations.
You own the end-to-end configuration and validation of campaigns, features, and content delivered through Online Services products. This includes configuring back-end tools and services, executing functional and technical validation against defined quality gates, and ensuring that what goes live is correct. You are accountable for the operational correctness of your deliverables.
You define and enforce pre-launch validation workflows: configuration checklists, acceptance criteria, and go/no-go gates that prevent errors from reaching production. When issues arise in live operations, you are expected to diagnose root causes independently by reading logs, inspecting API responses, tracing configuration flows and escalating to development only for confirmed bugs or architectural limitations.
You drive the onboarding and integration journey for Online Services products including Player Account & Authentication, Ubisoft+ Subscription, and PC Primary InGame Stores from business alignment and process definition through to technical delivery and operational readiness. You guide partners and internal teams through standardized workflows, manage project milestones, and ensure compliance with technical standards ahead of launch.
You develop and maintain a deep working knowledge of the full Live Services ecosystem its services, capabilities, constraints, and interdependencies. You use this knowledge to bridge the gap between production team requests and what the platform can deliver, reducing iteration waste caused by misalignment between expectations and capabilities.
You are expected to proactively improve operational processes, user flows, and technical flows. Through regular discussions and workshops, you ensure visibility of Live Services products across teams and help production stakeholders understand the ecosystem they are working with.
In close collaboration with Product Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers, you collect and track partner and internal team needs and feature requests. You maintain and document integration processes, operational flows, and emergency support procedures ensuring that operational knowledge is captured and transferable.
