About the role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the planning, executing and evaluating the total Respiratory Care of assigned patients. The Respiratory Care Practitioner utilizes current evidenced based Respiratory Care Practice to care for each patient based on the physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Works under the direction of the leadership team to provided respiratory services associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Responsible for assuring safe practices as referenced in the National Patient Safety Goals, and supports best practices as recommended by the American Association of Respiratory Care.

- Education
- Associates Degree, Respiratory (Required)
- Bachelors Degree, Respiratory (Preferred)
- 1-3 years Respiratory Therapist (Preferred)
- Licenses and Certifications
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (Required)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (Preferred)
- CPFT, RPFT or Pulmonary Rehab Certificate (Required)
