The Investment Operations Senior Analyst independently manages complex operational workflows, particularly within private debt and equity investments. This role requires strong judgment, ownership of deliverables, and the ability to resolve non-routine issues while providing operational guidance and continuous process improvement recommendations.
Position Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate settlement of private placement and alternative investment transactions.
Coordinate closely with custodians, internal Private Debt/Equity teams, and external counterparties to minimize service disruptions.
Process cash movements, security transfers, and income allocations in accordance with contractual agreements.
Monitor payment schedules, investigate variances, and ensure accurate posting of income, redemptions, and adjustments.
Maintain and reinforce SOX controls related to key and non-key operational processes.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Analyze operational workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, control, and client service.
Manage competing priorities and reprioritize deliverables based on evolving business needs.
Assume custody-related responsibilities (e.g., Vault custodian role) and ensure proper certification and safekeeping of private placement documentation.
Actively participate in training, workshops, and continuous learning initiatives.
Provide functional support and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
Decision-Making Authority
Independently manage daily operational decisions within established policies.
Prioritize work based on deadlines, complexity, and business impact.
Escalate issues outside normal parameters to management with recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced certifications or graduate studies are an advantage.
3-5 years of experience in investment operations, private placements, or complex asset classes.
Strong understanding of private debt, equity instruments, and settlement mechanics.
