Ensure proper accounting for APAC legal entities within assigned scope, including general ledger transactions, accruals, and prepayments.
Support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities in line with group deadlines, including computation of intercompany recharges.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and help maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and trial balances for entities under responsibility.
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors by providing supporting documentation and explanations during audit, statutory, and tax processes.
Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and support ongoing regulatory compliance activities.
Partner closely with Finance Business Partners, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Services teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Fixed Assets, to ensure smooth financial operations.
Support process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives, including the use of tools such as Oracle Fusion, and provide ad-hoc analytical support to the Financial Controller and senior finance team.
Work with senior finance team members to ensure compliance in key areas such as transfer pricing, Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, and Company Secretarial activities as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience with a good understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software; experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design process flows, identify control points, and implement improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Proven ability to meet strict deadlines with strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
