The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The expected starting salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $99,000.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service457B Retirement Plan140 hours of PTO earned within first year + 11 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday and 1 volunteer day per yearCompetitive medical, dental and vision plans effective within 1st month of start dateCare Bank - 8 weeks of Paid Family Leave (after the probation period is passed)Free RTD Eco PassMore information on what the City and County of Denver offers its employees can be found here .Location & ScheduleWho We Are & What You'll DoSpecifically, as the Prosecution Entry Assistant City Attorney of City Attorney's Office, you will:Under direction of a supervisor, evaluate and prepare cases for all stages of criminal prosecutionWork collaboratively with paralegals and victim advocates to ensure cases are properly prepared and decisions are victim-centricDraft appropriate motions and respond to motions in a highly professional and timely mannerDraft and respond to appealsProvide City agencies with legal adviceRepresent City agencies during administrative hearings. Interpret policy, ordinances and charter requirementsAssist other attorneys working in specialized areas with research and related activities.Provide agencies with formal legal opinionsDraft proposed ordinancesHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offEquity / stock options
