Responsibilities
Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
Other Information: Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
