Conduct audits and evaluations of suppliers to ensure compliance with ROCKWOOL and Rockfon quality, sustainability, and process requirements.
Manage the approval processes for supplier components and raw materials, including product quality, and process qualification testing.
Monitor and report supplier performance using data-driven methods, ensuring reduction of defect rates and continuous improvement.
Maintain and improve supplier KPIs in alignment with ROCKWOOL's operational and quality standards.
Supplier Development & Performance Improvement
Lead supplier capability assessments and initiate improvement activities to ensure suppliers can meet ROCKWOOL and Rockfon technical specifications and volume requirements.
Based on market feedback, drive corrective and preventive actions with suppliers, applying structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
Support suppliers in building strong quality assurance systems, process control methods and tools, and long-term stability.
Foster partnerships with suppliers aimed at improving sustainability, robustness, and material innovation.
Operational Quality Engineering
Analyze nonconformities, process deviations, and material-related failures.
Collaborate with ROCKWOOL production, product management, and R&D to support new material introductions and ensure robust industrialization.
Validate supplier capacity and process changes to maintain continuity of supply.
Support market claim process as interface to production: containment, RCA, corrective actions for redelivery, prevention of recurrence.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
Work closely with Procurement, Quality, Operations, Engineering, and R&D across multiple ROCKWOOL and Rockfon sites.
Participate in cross-regional supplier reviews, knowledge sharing, and capability-building activities.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives by providing technical evaluations and quality risk assessments.
What you bring:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Process, Industrial) or Quality Management.
At least 5 years of experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or production quality (experience with mineral wool, insulation materials, mechanical components, or industrial raw materials would be an additional advantage)
Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, control plans, capability studies, automation and statistical process control.
Experience in root-cause methodologies such as 8D, 5Why, DMAIC.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand material specifications.
Fluent English and Polish.
Structured, analytical, and proactive mindset.
Strong communication skills to influence internally and externally .
Independent attitude with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Please be aware that this position requires business travel approximately up to 70 days per year within Europe to ROCKWOOL/ Rockfon sites, external suppliers, and, occasionally, customer sites.

At ROCKWOOL and Rockfon , the Supplier Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that our global internal and external supplier base delivers materials and components aligned with our high standards for product performance, acoustics, fire safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. This role supports both production sites and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing capability, reduce variation, ensure compliance, and secure robust supply for our stone wool and ceiling solutions portfolio. Therefore, you can expect to travel 60-70 days a year, e.g. when visiting suppliers or factories .
