Respond to customer inquiries via phone and perform initial problem identification and analysis of control equipment and systems
Troubleshoot and configure telemetry systems, including: Pump controllers
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Radio and RF communication modules
Power supplies and digital/analog modules
Support, query, and maintain data within SQL-based customer or system databases
Perform basic troubleshooting and navigation within Linux-based systems and environments
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work orders to determine repair tasks
Use diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software to identify and resolve technical issues
Document troubleshooting activities, solutions, and action plans in the customer service database
Coordinate field service visits between customers and company personnel
Provide guidance and assist in training Level I technicians
Follow established procedures while exercising independent judgment in problem-solving
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3-6 years of experience in: Electrical controls
RF communications
Computer systems and networking
Working knowledge of: PLC programming and control logic
HMI/SCADA systems
SQL databases (queries, data entry, basic troubleshooting)
Linux operating systems (basic commands, navigation, troubleshooting)
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
Strong customer service and communication skills
Requirements
Advanced knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation
Experience with telemetry systems and industrial networking
Experience supporting database-driven or Linux-based control systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move 30-50 lbs of equipment
Work Environment & Travel
Regional travel required (primarily Southeastern U.S., with a focus on Florida)
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Florida driver's license

What You Will Contribute:
Position Summary
The Field Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for telemetry and control systems. This role requires experience in RF communications, electrical systems, PLC programming, networked control systems, as well as working knowledge of SQL databases and Linux environments. The technician will diagnose issues, support customers via phone, and assist with field service coordination while maintaining accurate documentation.
This position is primarily office-based, supporting technical customer care needs, with occasional field visits as required. While not frequent, some overnight travel within Florida may be necessary. This role also participates in an on-call rotation to support customer needs.
