Design and develop hydraulic systems and components for new and existing products.
Perform simulations and calculations to ensure system performance and reliability.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers.
Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for hydraulic issues.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation of hydraulic systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in hydraulic system design and analysis.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD , Onshape ) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS).
Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, control valves, pumps, actuators, and filtration systems.
Familiarity with ANSI Standards, ISO, SAE, and other relevant hydraulic standards.
Good 3D modeling ability for piping and hose routings in 3D CAD software.
Good knowledge about JIC and SAE fittings for hydraulic pipes and hoses and sizing of hydraulic lines.
Experienced in selection of hydraulic components such as cylinders, motors, pumps etc.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experienced with SolidWorks preferred
Salary: The compensation range for this position is $80k - $95k annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
