If you are looking to serve others, this is the place for you Job Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to provide for the overall safety and security of youth, staff, and facility during third shift. This position serves as a supervisor for all third shift youth monitors in planning and prepares a schedule for staff coverage and supervision in living units. While on duty, this supervisor monitors activities assigned to the shift assuring that all duties are performed as required; visits individual living units regularly; provides staff support and coverage; and crisis intervention if necessary. This supervisor responds to incoming visitors and telephone calls and notifies appropriate staff in case of emergency. In addition, this position conducts nightly shift review, updates staff about problems, and policies and procedures, provides mini training sessions, reviews and approves all written assignments completed by third shift youth monitors, prepares written reports and updates incoming Supervisors of third shift events A valid driver's license is required. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $34,270-$59,973 DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. The physical demands for this position will be discussed during the interview. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position. This position is for 3rd shift, working 12-hour shifts. C andidates must be able to work on-call hours, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis and be able to work a variable work schedule to meet the needs of juveniles and their families.
