Coates Hall Pay Grade: Professional Job Description: College of Human Sciences and Education Leadership Development Institute Assistant Director Job Summary The Leadership Development Institute offers cutting edge, evidence-based leadership development and coaching. The Assistant Director will be a key part of the leadership team for the Institute. Job Responsibilities 5% - - Evaluation and Assessment: Assist in the execution of monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of leadership programs and initiatives through ongoing assessment, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making, improve programmatic outcomes, and demonstrate impact to stakeholders. Serve as primary client liaison to solicit feedback from stakeholders, conduct program reviews, and implement improvements based on lessons learned and best practices. (Equivalence: 2 hours / week as needed). 10% - Team Leadership : Along with Sr. Director, provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff, partners, coaches, and student interns. Co-Create and monitor adherence to strategic and weekly action plans Ensure adherence to policies and procedures for program initiation and implementation in partnership with the Dean's Office, Finance & HR Departments, Office of Communications and Engagement Services. Foster a positive work environment, promote professional development, and cultivate a culture of collaboration, service, innovation, and excellence. Participate in regular team meetings and provide coaching and development for direct reports in 1-1 sessions. (Equivalence: 4 hours per week). 50% - Partnership & Business Development: In partnership with LDI Sr. Director and Director, utilize relational marketing and prospecting best practices to cultivate partnerships and strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders to achieve LDI annual revenue goals, with the primary focus on Business to Business client acquisition, and secondary focus on Business to Consumer conversion. Lead Revenue Team, including prospecting processes and identification of revenue generating contracts across all industries (e.g. Business, Law Enforcement, Industry, K-12 & Higher Education, Corporate, Social Work, Government & Public Service, Health Care, Professional Associations, Small Business, Youth Development, etc ). Own prospect team and process, including identification, outreach, meeting coordination, and proposal process across target audiences. Track and manage leads in CRM to follow through to conversion of contracts. - Assist LDI Director in managing execution of proposals and conversion into client projects. Lead representation of LDI at conferences and exhibitor booths across the state, including identifying high-prospect potential conferences, oversee follow up communication, scheduling meetings, and conversion to contracts. Assist in identifying members for the creation of LDI advisory board and outreach to secure new members. (Equivalence: 20 hours per week). 30% - Strategic Management and Implementation: In collaboration with the LDI Sr. Director & Director, create and execute implementation of strategic action plans to help achieve the LDI Strategic Plan goals and objectives. Direct assigned project plans and manage financial budgets for various program offerings and operational activities to ensure efficient and sustainable operations. Lead Client Success Team, and work in close coordination with Operations and Business Manager and Agile team to ensure client success through high quality, timely, and consistent delivery, managing oversite of Agile Team experts assigned to clients. Direct implementation of strategic Client Success goals and systems assigned to by the Sr. Director and Director. Manage Operations and Business Manager and support implementation of operational structure and systems. Manage client projects, partnership, and strategic initiatives. Continuously increase operational efficiency by leverage delegation tactics, systems improvement, technology, and task/time management best practices. Oversee 90% of back end operations and marketing activities to Marketing Team Lead and Project Coordinator.
