Operate manual and CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
Follow all safety procedures and participate in required safety training
Perform assigned work on GE 7F components according to established processes
Read and interpret blueprints, I&T plans, and technical instructions
Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality
Communicate clearly with supervisors, leads, and team members
Support skill development and cross-training efforts
Perform additional duties/tasks as required by supervisor or leadsperson
Perform tasks for other departments as agreed upon between supervisor and other department supervisor based on shop load and schedule
Qualifications / Requirements:
Ability to work 1st shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of formal machinist training
3-5 years of experience operating machining equipment (boring bars, vertical/horizontal boring mills, etc.)
Minimum 2 years of blueprint reading experience
Minimum 3 years using precision measuring instruments
Ability to run and input G & M code
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Ability to meet physical requirements and follow PPE/safety rules
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requirements
Journeyman machinist card
Experience with one or more of the following machines:
Schenck HM70, TOS Varnsdorf WHT130, Gurutzpe GHD30.90.10, TOSHULIN Powerturn 1600, Okuma MCR-AF, custom Tip Grinding Machine, Schenck V7
Experience with operating at least two of the smaller CNC machines without direct supervision: Small HBM, Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL), Farrel Lathe
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to train on and operate multiple machine tools
Pay Transparency:
The base hourly pay range for this position is $32.50 - $44.50/hr . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
