Energy Department The Energy Group is responsible for supporting Vantage's data center portfolio through the execution and management of complex commercial energy agreements, including utility service agreements, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, gas supply and infrastructure contracts, and other energy-adjacent arrangements. The team partners closely with project management, development, legal, finance, and external counterparties to ensure contracts are executed efficiently, accurately documented, and aligned with business objectives. Po sition Overview This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA or remote. The Manager, Interconnection and Regulatory Strategy will lead Vantage's analysis and strategic positioning related to generator interconnection policy and reforms across U.S. power markets. This role is responsible for monitoring and evaluating interconnection developments at the utility, state, RTO/ISO, and federal levels, with a strong emphasis on all RTOs/ISOs . Sitting at the intersection of policy, markets, and strategy, this individual will translate complex regulatory and interconnection reforms into clear, actionable insights that inform Vantage's development, market entry, and long-term growth strategy. The role partners closely with internal technical and commercial subject matter experts to help shape company positions and responses to evolving interconnection frameworks. Essential Job Functions Monitor and analyze interconnection reform developments and related initiatives across U.S. power markets, including utilities, state regulators, RTOs/ISOs ( emphasis PJM, ERCOT, MISO, SPP) . Track and participate in prioritized RTO/ISO stakeholder processes, meetings, workshops, and filings related to interconnection and transmission planning. Working with internal teams, d evelop clear internal positions, recommendations, and responses to proposed interconnection and market reforms. Translate energy reforms and regulatory changes into strategic implications for market strategy, site selection, and project development . Partner with internal technical, development, legal, and commercial SMEs to align policy insights with real-world execution and business planning. Prepare concise briefings, summaries, and decision-support materials for internal leadership. Support Vantage's external engagement strategy by helping inform positions on reforms and coordinated responses Additional duties as assigned by Management Job Requirements Bachelor's degree required ; advanced degree in energy regulation , economics, engineering, or a related field preferred. 5-8+ years of experience in energy regulation , , power markets, or interconnection-related reforms and strategy. Strong current working knowledge of U.S. RTO/ISO structures, interconnection processes, and reform initiatives. P roven experience monitoring RTO meetings, analyzing dockets, and developing positions related to regulatory reforms or written responses. Ability to synthesize complex regulatory and technical material into clear, business-relevant insights. Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief senior stakeholders efficiently.
