Provide operational support for file transfer applications using SFTP, FTPS, FTP, HTTPS, Connect:Direct, and PGP encryption.
Support IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Sterling B2B Integrator (B2Bi) file transfer operations, including monitoring, issue resolution, and partner transmission support.
Provide operational support for AXWAY MFT platforms, including monitoring, job failures, and connectivity issues.
Support IBM Connect:Direct in on-premise and AWS cloud environments.
Monitor file transfers using enterprise monitoring and automation tools in a 24x7 operations environment.
Perform daily environment health checks, including: MFT application availability
Disk space, file system usage, and queue/backlog monitoring
Service status and connectivity validation
Troubleshoot and support issues related to PERL scripts, UNIX shell scripts, and Windows batch/PowerShell scripts (no script development or maintenance).
Provide external client support during production transmission issues and ensure timely updates.
Analyze recurring incidents and work closely with L3/engineering teams to reduce repeat issues and improve platform stability.
Assist in creating and maintaining operational dashboards and reports for monitoring, SLA tracking, and trend analysis.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
Provide out-of-office hours and weekend on-call support as part of the operations rotation.
Maintain and update operational documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
Your Profile
3+ years of experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions.
Hands-on operational experience with: IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
Sterling B2B Integrator (B2Bi)
IBM Connect:Direct
Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP)
Sterling External Authentication Server (SEAS)
Sterling Control Center
AXWAY MFT
Ability to troubleshoot and analyze B2Bi business processes and transmission workflows.
Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.
Understanding of file transfer security concepts such as certificates, encryption, authentication, and ciphers.
Ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement temporary fixes or workarounds.
Experience collaborating with L3 teams for root cause analysis and permanent resolution.
Good communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience with AWS-hosted MFT environments.
Exposure to ITSM tools such as ITSM or Remedy.
Experience building or maintaining operational dashboards (Control Center, Datadog, Splunk, etc.)
