Anglo American are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our highly capable Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) team at Moranbah North Mine. You will be responsible for providing plans and technical input to the CHPP department to assist in driving metallurgical performance of the process plant by evaluating new and different technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer to grow and develop their skills. Reporting to the Processing & Logistics Coordinator, you will be required to contribute to the identification, development and delivery of process improvements and opportunities within the CHPP: Analyse and improve processing systems to minimize lost opportunity in coal recovery and production volume. Work closely with our global Data Analytics team as we develop new ways to gain insights from our data at Anglo American, enhancing the analytical capabilities of our Process Engineering teams. Provide technical input into the design, commissioning and execution of a Plant Wide Optimiser that includes the installation of multiple new field instruments, many new to industry. Critically review operating and technical data to identify any trends or non-compliance and provide technical advice to rectify issues or optimise processes. Identify and deliver projects to optimise CHPP operation in terms of Safety, Volume and Cost Focus on reducing costs through maximising recovery, minimising down time and eliminating waste. Degree qualified in Process Engineering, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering. Previous experience within an operating processing plant within the coal or broader resources industry. High level of analytical, problem solving and coordination skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders across the organisation to enable you to effectively support the achievement of the overall goals of the CHPP.
