The Pharmacy Technician - Home Delivery Call Center, PRN supports ambulatory pharmacy operations through prescription processing, patient communication, and medication order coordination within a high-volume call center environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring patients receive timely access to medications by processing prescription orders, performing data entry, supporting billing and insurance adjudication activities, and communicating directly with patients, providers, and pharmacy teams regarding medication-related needs. Caregivers are responsible for maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the prescription fulfillment process while contributing to a collaborative, service-oriented team environment. Although primarily remote, this position requires an initial onsite training period at the Cleveland Clinic Administrative Campus (CCAC) and offers valuable opportunities to develop outpatient pharmacy expertise, expand call center experience, and pursue future career growth within the organization. This is a PRN, remote role. A caregiver in this position will work a minimum of 8 hours every 2 weeks and may have the opportunity to pick up more shifts as available. Ideally this caregiver must be available at least Monday or Friday and one additional weekend day (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). No weekends, holidays or on-call expectations. On-site training for this role will take place at CC Administrative Campus located in Beachwood, Ohio. A caregiver must be able to commute to the Administrative Campus for a minimum of 3 days per week, from 8am - 4:30pm for the first 30 days. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients. Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy. Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items. Operate the point-of-sale cash register system. Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products. Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma/GED Six months of related experience OR Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application: Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) AND it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee. If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire. Please note: A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role.
