The Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a vital role in providing direct patient care across various settings, including medical centers and nursing homes. The candidate will be responsible for independently assessing acute and non-acute clinical problems. The role involves performing and documenting physical assessments and patient histories, analyzing trends in patient conditions, and developing a patient management plan. The Nurse Practitioner will plan patient care based on in-depth knowledge of the specific patient population, anticipating physiological and psychological problems. The candidate will serve as a patient advocate, writing admission, transfer, and discharge orders as needed. The role includes ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies, as well as prescribing medications and treatments. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure successful patient management strategies. The candidate will recognize situations requiring immediate physician attention and initiate life-saving procedures when necessary. The role involves facilitating patient/family conferences to review treatment goals and optimize resource utilization. An ARNP or similar advanced degree in Nursing is required. Current Nurse Practitioner Certification in the State of practice is required. Board certification by AANP or ANCC is preferred but may be required for certain States. A current DEA number from the DEA for schedule II-V controlled substances may be required based on State of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required within the first 90 days of employment. PAY RANGE: $111,140 - $158,771 Salary The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
