Support and contribute to proposal efforts (RFIs, ROMs, RFPs, IRAD, CRAD) by evaluating opportunities, coordinating engineering schedule and cost inputs (including NRE estimates), and reviewing technical proposals for R&D programs.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, including feasibility, integration, and manufacturability.
Oversee integration and test activities, including lab experimentation, environmental testing, and field demonstrations.
Ensure specialized engineering support, such as reliability, maintainability, thermal design, structural analysis and electromagnetic compatibility, are included in designs and reviews where appropriate.
Partner with research scientists, advanced engineering teams, and external collaborators (e.g., government labs, universities, industry partners).
Document technical baselines, experiments, and results to support knowledge transfer to future development phases or transition to production programs.
Support transition of successful technologies from R&D into formal product development or programs of record.

Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required. Airline travel must be acceptable
Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance
Minimum Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering or related field
Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience of development experience. 5 years in a supervisory role preferred.
