Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
2 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist performing venipunctures
1 year or more of leadership experience either formal or informal
AAMA or CMA accreditation
Current or Previous LabCorp experience
3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
Additional Job Standards:
Experience with pediatric and neonatal draws
Must be familiar with ICD-9 coding
In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Able to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
High level customer service experience dealing with executive level personnel

**Pay Range: $21.50 - $30.00 per hour

Phlebotomist's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Boston MA.
Work Schedule: Your planned work schedule will be an 8 hour shift Monday - Friday between 7:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with every 3rd Weekend. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities:
May work directly with medical providers to coordinate patient testing needs within a fast- paced, medical environment.
Able to navigate around a hospital setting to attend client needs to various suites.
Ability to decipher, collect, and process complex test orders pertinent to hospital outreach settings.
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Work with patients and providers to obtain pertinent demographic and billing information. Process and collect payments when required.
Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors.
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed
Able to be flexible with scheduled hours to provide shift coverage as needed
