About the role

This position is in the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO), under the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA) where the incumbent serves as an IT Project Manager. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Experience - Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Extensive experience in initiating and managing projects of a highly confidential and complex nature, including the integration of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) information systems interfacing with legacy applications; developing functional specifications impacting current system architecture and future operations; conducting research and performing analysis; ensuring project compliance with policies and process; developing technical and non-technical presentations; stakeholder management. Familiarity with budget management and risk management.
