Job Description: Position Purpose: The Digital Marketing Coordinator role exists to support and execute digital strategies that grow the organization's online presence and engagement. By developing content-especially for social platforms-and contributing to various marketing initiatives, the role helps expand the organization's digital reach and strengthen its brand. The position requires someone adaptable and self-directed to effectively manage multiple tasks and respond to evolving digital trends. Overall, it contributes by driving awareness, engagement, and growth across digital ecosystems. Key Accountabilities: Coordinate social media scheduling and community engagement to maintain an active and responsive online presence. Create written, photo, and video content that supports social media strategies and drives audience engagement. Report on content performance to inform improvements and optimize digital marketing efforts. Maintain website content through CMS updates while enhancing visibility with on-site SEO practices. Collaborate with marketing and communications team members to deliver day-to-day digital projects efficiently. Research competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform strategy. Analyze digital data to generate insights that support campaign effectiveness and decision-making. Apply knowledge of digital marketing tactics to support initiatives that achieve overall marketing objectives. Education and Experience Qualifications: Completion of a 2- to 3-year college diploma or university degree in digital marketing, or related discipline, or actively working towards completion. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Minimum one year of related digital/social media/marketing experience in an organizational setting; previous non-profit experience is an asset Leverage advanced knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to create engaging content and monitor performance against KPIs. Demonstrate strong storytelling skills across multiple digital marketing channels to drive audience connection and brand awareness. Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office, WordPress, and Sprout Social to manage content, workflows, and reporting. Adapt quickly to new digital platforms and applications to support evolving marketing needs. Support organizational values by aligning work with the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organizational policies in all work activities. Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage priorities and deliver results efficiently. Communicate effectively while collaborating in team environments, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail. This is a Canada Summer Jobs position.
