Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate, title insurance, or lending
Strong understanding of real estate law, closing processes, and title insurance products
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Atlantic Canada
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Summary
Reporting to the VP, Commercial Business Development, the Director, Business Development - Atlantic Canada is responsible for leading residential and commercial growth across the Atlantic provinces.
This role combines strategic leadership, market development, and direct client engagement, with accountability for growing revenue, strengthening key relationships, and supporting Stewart's broader business objectives in the region.
The position is home-office based but requires frequent in-person client and prospect meetings and is expected to be based in Halifax, Fredericton, or Moncton.
Practicing real estate lawyers will be preferred candidates.
Job Responsibilities
Identify opportunities to increase market share and revenue across Atlantic Canada
Develop and maintain relationships with law firms, lenders, and industry partners
Provide regional leadership, planning, and forecasting
Supervise and oversee the activities of business development team members
Serve as a subject matter expert on Stewart products, real estate law, and market trends
Represent Stewart at industry events, conferences, and client functions
