Conduct learner assessments in accordance with FSC standards.
Provide clear, consistent feedback to learners and support their development through coaching and structured guidance.
Maintain high standards of delivery through lesson observation, coaching, and feedback.
Assist in standardising training materials, assessments, and practical evolutions.
Contribute to the development and modernisation of FFDP content, lesson plans, risk assessments, and digital learning materials.
Work collaboratively with the Digital Learning Team to create online modules, VR content, and blended learning assets.
Lead or contribute to improvement projects that enhance learner experience, operational realism, and programme efficiency.
Act as a competent person for high‑risk training environments, ensuring all practical sessions are risk‑assessed and safely controlled.
Represent the FFDP professionally during audits, programme reviews, and client engagement activities.
Communicate effectively across the team to support timetables, logistics, resource planning, and operational needs.
About You
Extensive experience delivering firefighter training at recruit or operational level.
Competent Instructor in key disciplines (e.g., BA, RTC, Pumps/Water, Ladders).
Teaching qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent).
Strong understanding of NOG, and operational best practice.
Proven ability to assess, mentor, coach, and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
Ability to work flexibly, safely, and effectively in high‑risk training environments.
Operational experience within a UK Fire & Rescue Service or equivalent emergency services background
