Job Summary Reporting to the Regional Senior Vice President for the Pacific Northwest Region, the Vice President of Finance plays a critical executive role. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial accounting, reporting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and budgeting activities for the region. In addition, the VP provides strategic leadership for the Project Management Organization, Fleet Management, and Facilities Management functions. The role requires close collaboration with the region's senior leadership team, Regional Senior Vice President, Sales, Growth, Customer Experience, Comcast Business, Human Resources and other functions to understand what is happening in the business to identify what needs to change, where support is needed and how to close performance gaps. The VP will be responsible for setting, coordinating, and communicating strategic business goals and objectives, connecting financial performance with operational drivers, customer experience, growth trends, and competitive dynamics. The VP will be accountable for driving business results through effective leadership and operational execution. Job Description Core Responsibilities: Serve as the regional fiduciary and finance leader. Provide financial expertise to operations leadership and interact with the region's Senior Leadership Team on both operational and financial short-and-long-range planning, flagging risks, misses, and emerging trends early enough for the team to adjust and mitigate. Oversee preparation and review of monthly operating financial statements, monthly variance forecasting, external financial statements and budget data. Oversight of all general accounting functions - payables, general ledger, payroll, etc. - and assure adherence to generally accepted accounting practices. Analyze all aspects of financial performance within the region and provide recommendations for improvement, identifying what needs to change, where support is needed, and how to close those performance gaps. Ensure the integrity of business operations across all functions along with the region's Senior Leadership Team. Lead budget, forecasting, planning, and analysis of the region. Drive P&L and growth results. Deliver P&L and capital performance above plan/targets. Assure regional compliance with Company policies and procedures focusing on requirements under Sarbanes Oxley. Coordinate responses for all internal audits. Ensure that all systems of financial and internal operational controls are functioning properly at the system and regional level. Direct all work associated with corporate year-end reporting packaging and local filings. Direct preparation of annual capital and operational budgets for the region. Develop strong talent, create diverse career paths, and help the finance team embrace change, improve how they operate, and translate financial discipline and operational fluency into better decisions, stronger execution, and credible partnership with local leaders and headquarters counterparts and partners. Oversight of regional Field Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities and Fleet Management. Review, coordinate and approve key internal hiring; review, coordinate and approve key contracts, including statements of work for vendors. Build strong peer relationships with headquarter counterparts and partners, bringing both financial rigor and local market insight to the conversation. Job Specifications: Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible finance/accounting experience, including management and direction of staff. Ability to lead a multi-site finance and accounting organization that serves a large customer and employee base. Strong capital management experience. Public accounting experience desirable, as is prior telecommunications financial experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting. CPA and/or MBA preferred. Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills. Additional Requirements: Experience supporting, and leading, large organizations.
