Knowledge to make independent judgment in determining work sequence, selection, and use of trade tools, and the techniques applied may provide technical assistance to other trades. Knowledge of mixing and selecting paint to comply with color match, texture, and decorative scheme throughout the Medical Center. Knowledge of coating materials, methods, devices, and proper techniques to get a variety of finish results on various surfaces. Knowledge of installation of drywall, patching holes, and preparing surface to achieve a smooth wall surface. Knowledge of the building trade practice to identify, repair, or replace worn or damaged material, modify, and lay out new work. Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals, drawings, and blueprints. Must be able to measure and lay out new work. Must have skills to insure proper use of power tools, such as radial, table, miter, and circular power saws, and hand saws, power planes, power sanders, and electric drills.
