The Soldering Technician utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform soldering and other manufacturing processes. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.
In this function you will:
Perform high reliability soldering operations of wires on complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies with a familiarity in component surface finishes and aerospace cleanliness requirements.
Perform detailed soldering operations while working under a microscope as required.
Perform manufacturing processes on complex assemblies following written instructions.
Verify calibrated equipment, material with expiration dates and written instructions are up to date and accurate prior to use in production.
Properly manage the traceability of numerous components to ensure assembly accuracy.
Work in partnership with Engineering to Identify improvement opportunities, resulting in a decrease of lead time, cost savings, elimination of waste, or safety improvement
Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status and J-Standard Soldering Certification following site guidelines
Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.
Requirements
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years Aerospace manufacturing OR military experience OR 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Minimum 1 year of previous soldering experience
Ability to communicate problems in product or quality in to supervisor or manager clearly and concisely.

Thorough Understanding of mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
Skilled at diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assemblies issues.
Associates Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Technology
Minimum 5 years of Aerospace manufacturing experience
Minimum 3 years of Aerospace soldering experience

Eaton's IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Soldering Technician - Actuation 2nd Shift.
The hours for this role are 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 - $27.50 per hour.
