Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical analyses and impact assessment reports for energy projects.
  • Support large-scale compliance programs, including data management and stakeholder communication.
  • Organize and execute field surveys, data reviews, and regulatory documentation.
  • Collaborate with ERM teams nationwide on environmental impact assessments, land planning, facility siting, and risk management.
  • Maintain quality, budget, and schedule expectations while ensuring compliance with ERM standards.
  • Engage directly with clients and subject matter experts on environmental science and permitting strategies.

Requirements

  • Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science/engineering, biology/ecology, planning, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in impact assessment and environmental permitting, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act Sections 401/404, Endangered Species Act , and equivalent state/local regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
  • Preferred:
  • 6+ years of experience in impact assessment and permitting.
  • Expertise in NEPA and CEQA documentation, Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service permitting , and state requirements (AZ, NV, CA).
  • Experience with California Coastal Zone permitting under the California Coastal Commission or Local Coastal Plans.
