Keep automated production systems running smoothly by identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively
Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic systems
Support system upgrades, equipment expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce downtime
Analyze workflows, equipment layout, and assembly methods to improve performance and reliability
Perform root cause analysis on system failures and drive long-term solutions
Partner with engineering, operations, and external vendors to support system design, implementation, and recovery efforts
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through data analysis and functional reviews
Ensure high system availability by providing strong technical support and meeting project milestones
Maintain accurate inventory of parts and support ordering of materials for maintenance and projects
Mentor and support team members to strengthen overall team capability
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience troubleshooting automated control systems in a production environment
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics
Experience supporting emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance activities
Ability to work occasional off-hours or weekends based on operational needs
Ability to travel up to 10% for training or support across facilities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Experience with automation and controls software, such as: RSLogix 500 / 5000
RSView
Cognex systems
DeviceNet
FANUC or ADEPT robotics
Advanced troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
Experience working in highly automated or manufacturing environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Work Details
Location: On-site in Tempe, AZ (clean, climate-controlled environment)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
