This is classified as VHBE (Variable Hour Benefit Eligible), where the selected candidate will work an average of 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will be eligible to elect Medical Benefits as well as accrue paid time off and receive 11 paid holidays. The deadline to submit applications is June 17th, 2026. Please note, the City of Aurora will conduct ongoing screenings of applications on a first-come, first-serve basis; as soon as we determine a qualified pool of applicants exists, this position may be closed without notice. The Photo Enforcement Coordinator will work within the Aurora Police Department's Traffic Section to coordinate the activities of the photo enforcement program. They will ensure that the photo enforcement equipment is deployed to appropriate areas within policy and the law. They will be the in-office point of contact for the program for both the Department and the city's vendor. They will interact with the public to answer questions about the program and conduct initial responses to complaints about the program. The coordinator will also handle general clerical duties associated with the photo enforcement program. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule and plan the deployment of photo enforcement equipment based on the analysis of crash reports, citizen complaints and other technical data sources May be called upon to deploy photo speed equipment when the vendor is unable to do so Conduct speed studies by deploying speed surveying devices and analyzing the obtained data Track and report on data generated by the photo enforcement program Monitor general e-mail and voicemail inboxes for citizen questions and complaints and respond to them according to Department policy and guidelines Ensure that violations that require sworn officer follow up are received and assigned Act as the primary point of contact with the city's photo enforcement system vendor Review and approve photo speed violations Conduct general clerical duties related to the photo enforcement program Give presentations about the program to the Department's command staff, city management, city council and community groups Schedule and prepare cases for administrative hearings held by the Parking Bureau Magistrate This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
