About the role
Procurement & Purchasing - Source, evaluate, and procure raw materials, chemicals, consumables, tooling, and equipment required for surface finishing, NDT, welding, and MRO operations. - Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs); track delivery schedules and resolve supplier discrepancies or shortages. - Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to optimise cost and supply reliability. - Maintain approved supplier list (ASL) in compliance with AS9100D and NADCAP requirements; support supplier qualification and re-evaluation activities. Inventory & Logistics - Monitor and manage inventory levels of critical materials and consumables; implement reorder strategies to prevent production stoppages. - Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics including import/export documentation, customs clearance, and freight management - including cross-border shipments to/from China and other international partners. - Work closely with the Production and Quality teams to align material availability with production schedules and quality requirements. Supplier Management - Maintain supplier performance records including on-time delivery, quality rejection rates, and responsiveness; escalate underperforming suppliers. - Support supplier audits and quality assessments as required by the Quality team. - Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers, particularly for aerospace-grade materials and chemicals. Compliance & Documentation - Ensure all purchased materials are procured with appropriate quality documentation(CoC, MTR, MSDS) in compliance with aerospace and regulatory requirements. - Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation in the company's document management system. - Support regulatory and customer audits by providing supply chain records and evidence as required. - Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications and Requirements - Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience; experience in aerospace, MRO, or manufacturing environment preferred. - Familiarity with aerospace supply chain requirements (AS9100D, NADCAP supplier controls) is an advantage. - Experience handling international procurement and import/export logistics, particularly with China-based suppliers. - Strong negotiation, organisational, and communication skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems.
