Identify, sort, file, batch, and route interoffice and incoming mail from PO boxes and physical addresses, including incoming revenue (accounting)
Conduct up to two mail-runs each day campus buildings, in a timely, professional and accurate manner, which includes delivering mail to specific office areas by pulling or pushing a cart with mail
Prepare outgoing interoffice mail to satellite offices
Operate standard mail processing equipment
Prepare, receive, and track parcels and certified mail
Identify, log, sign out and track incoming items (using the Package Tracking system)
Handle various returned mails
Provide customer service to employees on behalf of the Mailroom in person, via email, or by using Microsoft Teams
Maintain existing logs, databases, and other Mailroom records as assigned
Cross-train in other Mail Services departments including Fulfillment and Shipping & Receiving as assigned by Supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
One (1) year of related work experience (Required)
Previous mail processing or mail distribution experience
Good verbal and written communication skills (including email, phone, and in person)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well as a member of a team, as well as independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience using a PC with standard office software (such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Working Environment
Work is performed within a production environment with ambient temperatures
Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds or a pitch or level sufficient to cause marked distraction

The Mailroom Specialist I is responsible for processing all company mail: sorting and distributing incoming, inter-office and outgoing mail. Duties may include and are not limited to: hand-sorting mail, assisting with operation of meter machine and handling parcels.
This is an onsite position on our Mountlake Terrace campus.
