About the role
This position is a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-11 working for the US Wildland Fire Service. This position may be filled at either Anchorage, Alaska, or Fairbanks, Alaska. In order to qualify for this position, you must possess the Minimum Qualification requirements listed below: To qualify for this position. you must meet the Specialized Experience for the series to which you are applying. Minimum Qualifications GS-11: One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience includes: (1) Providing technical advice for business rules related to federal appropriations; (2) reviewing financial budgetary documents; (3) analyzing financial statements; and (4) collaborating in the resolution of financial or program audits. OR Three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D., or possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or LL.M if related, in Business or Finance or a directly related field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. OR A combination of specialized experience and graduate education as outlined above which, in combination, equals 100% of the requirement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 06/26/2026.
