Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication.
Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure.
Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist's interpretation.
Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required.
Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician's order.
Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy, C-arm in the Operating Room, digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations.
Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination.
Completion of exam in hospital information system.
Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment.
May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires.
Education :
Associates degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
Requirements
Minimum of one (1) year Radiologic Technology experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification :
ARRT(R) certification required.
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA - Radiography) certification required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
Understand and utilize ALARA concepts and critical thinking
Time management
Effective communication.
Physical Requirements : Medium Physical Agility Test (PAT) Rating
