About the role
We are seeking high performing Engineers with experience in Defence Maritime Systems to join our dynamic Defence team in Sydney. In these roles, you will contribute to improving Defence operational capability through the provision of engineering services to our Defence clients. Key requirements of the roles include: Qualifications in engineering (electrical, mechanical) with the ability to gain appropriate industry accreditation. Working within a project team to deliver maritime engineering services to improve the operational effectiveness of Defence maritime capabilities. Experience in the maintenance of Defence maritime systems. Understanding engineering requirements to provide advice on practical solutions to complex engineering problems. The ability to lead and manage the delivery of Defence maritime projects. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Experience with Defence writing standards and technical documentation requirements. Due to the nature of our client and projects, it is mandatory that you hold (or will be able to obtain) a current Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) at Baseline level or higher and be eligible to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). About you You will possess knowledge and experience in the maintenance of Australian Navy ships and Navy engineering practices and preferably have the eligibility to hold engineering delegations. You will be an experienced engineer with a drive to successfully deliver projects and solve problems for our clients. Furthermore, you will be team-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to apply proactive and critical thinking whilst developing your consulting career.
