Represent AECOM in all Client, Contractor, and Authority meetings, maintaining professional communication and reporting standards.
Review and endorse contractors' technical submittals, method statements, material approvals, and construction drawings.
Oversee and monitor progress reporting, schedule updates, and cost control to ensure alignment with project goals.
Negotiate and manage scope variations, claims, and change requests in coordination with the Client and Contractor.
Prepare and implement the Project Execution Plan, HSE Plan, and Quality Control Plan for the assigned package.
Review and assess construction programs, technical deliverables, and cost estimates for accuracy and completeness.
Mentor and supervise subordinate engineers and inspectors, conducting performance reviews and ensuring skill development.
Conduct internal weekly meetings to monitor site performance and formulate corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure adherence to all relevant RTA, DM, and local authority procedures and specifications related to microtunneling and drainage works.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the successful delivery of the project.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's Degree preferred).
Professional Engineering license or Chartership (e.g., CEng, PE) is an advantage.
Comprehensive understanding of Dubai Authority procedures and approval processes (RTA, DM, DEWA, etc.).
Experience Requirements
Minimum 20 years of post-graduate experience in the design and supervision of major infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in microtunneling works, stormwater drainage systems, deep shaft construction.
Extensive UAE experience -particularly within Dubai-is essential, including a strong track record with RTA and Dubai Municipality infrastructure projects.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams , overseeing contractors, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders and authorities.
Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, etc.)
Engineering charter ship will be advantageous.
Dubai Authorities' understanding will be advantageous.
Dubai Municiplaity STP project, water treatment plant project experience is ideal for this role.
Minimum of 20 years' post-graduate experience in the design and site supervision of projects, with a broad general engineering background.
UAE experience is essential, particularly within Dubai, including proven expertise in existing sewerage treatment works in the Emirate of Dubai, as well as the design and construction of sewage treatment plants within the region.
The Resident Engineer will lead the supervision and management of the stormwater drainage components of a major infrastructure project in Dubai. The role is responsible for ensuring that all works are executed in full compliance with contract requirements, RTA/DM standards, approved drawings, and project specifications, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
